Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he was “ashamed of certain members of the court” for what he described as a lack of courage.

“The Supreme Court’s ruling on tariffs is deeply disappointing. And I’m ashamed of certain members of the court—absolutely ashamed—for not having the courage to do what’s right for our country,” Trump said.

The ruling marked a significant setback for Trump’s trade agenda.

Trump also questioned the motives of some justices, saying the court “has been swayed by foreign interests."

He said he would not be deterred by what he called a “ridiculous ruling” and announced an immediate new 10-percent tariff on imports from all countries, in addition to existing duties.
